Summaries
Two brothers come upon a rarely used shortcut in their new town.
High school senior Derek was adjusting to life in a new town when he discovered an overgrown path leading into the woods. According to his classmates, the local kids used to use it as a shortcut before a malevolent farmer began chasing them away with a shovel. Eventually, a few of the local kids went missing under mysterious circumstances. Rumor has it that the old man got them. Now years have passed, and no one dares go near the path. The townspeople have simply accepted the fact that it's off limits. But Derek suspects that the old man is hiding something, and he's determined to find out what it is. Once he uncovers the sinister secret that lies just beyond the trees, however, he may not live to reveal the awful truth.
'The Shortcut' is a thrilling movie, and starts off when a young boy discovers a shortcut through the woods, after being pressured by his school mates. He is confronted by an old man, who everyone knows about. He is chased off and runs back home to his older brother, where he recounts what happens. His brother, interested, asks around his school asking if anyone knows about 'The Shortcut' in which everyone does. It is known as the place where no one ever goes and has a hidden story behind it. Him and 3 friends of his agree to check it out, and after an explore through the old man's property, they discover that this isn't exactly what it seems, and not all of them will live to see another day.
